Surprise, surprise. ::Image was NOT photomanipulated. The shutter speed somehow just managed to capture part of my tossed hair in motion. Cool, eh? I love the way my hair dives out behind like a lion's mane. And you can see a blurry image of my body's position.
A genre of art inspired most heavily by Valentina Kallias my role model.
A doppleganger is a ghostly image, the double of oneself. Often they mean bad omens or signify death to the person who sees their own doppleganger. If you need more explanation search Wiki.
There's a book called Doppleganger by Marie Brennan. Interesting read, though I don't find it particularly favourable. That's how I first learn of the doppleganger. Very interesting thing, that is.
I spent a lot of time deciding the colours of this image. At first I wanted the blurry shadow to be blue and my real self red. Then I played around with B&W, tinted, added some colour balancing, and I got this amazing darkish blue. And I love it so so much this way. Image was rotated at 90 degrees, also another influence and tip I picked up from Kallias. Not everything has to go straight
If you read everything from the first word "Model" up to here, thank you for your time. Thanks for reading this too
