This isn't my hometown, it's simply my home. What makes my house a home, is my dog Leo. We adopted him 2 years ago, and ever since then, everytime we come back home after a particularly exhausting trip or a day out or a dinner, Leo will always be there to greet us with a bark and snuffle and more barks. We have learned to look forward to his silly snuffles and antics, how he puts his chin up against the door with the worst dog eyes whenever he smells meat being served at the dinner table, how he looks so grudgingly reluctant as we cuddle and hug his fluffy coat, how he looks so forlorn everytime we leave the house. One time he was gone to the vet for a few days, the house seemed empty. I even thought I heard a snuffle but turns out I imagined it.
--

I planned this in a harsher sunlight condition but even at 5pm after-the-rain-slightly-overcast worked as well. I saw the frames sitting in a corner this morning, and the idea developed over lunch. I find ideas are best if thought up in a day, then executed in the same day. I decided to include Leo in it. His tail was supposed to be in the bottom frame though.

I just realised how pretty my mum's garden is to photograph. I quickly sneaked out and popped the skirt on while my mum was on the phone and snapped a few shots of me in the chair hastily. It feels so good shooting outdoors, really. Then I asked my mum to help move Leo onto the chair - that dog is a such a trial hahaha!

this photo is so interesting! I love its quirkiness! The setting is beautiful and having the dogs face framed over yours is a really unique idea :D
